Certain animals act as natural dentists for others in the wild. For instance, the Egyptian plover bird is known to clean the teeth of crocodiles in a daring dental dance.
This symbiotic relationship benefits both parties: the plover bird gets a meal by removing bits of meat from the crocodile’s teeth, and the crocodile enjoys some dental hygiene.
The crocodile must remain incredibly patient and still, as just one snap could mean the end of this delicate arrangement!
